Rasawala betaka nu shak (gravy potato)

Ingredients :

  • 3 small potatoes
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  1. Thinly slice potatoes and onions
  2. Heat vegetable oil
  3. Add mustard seeds, asafoetida, green chili. Let pop
  4. Saute onions.
  5. Once onions are cooked (golden brown), add potatoes
  6. Add spices: salt, turmeric, coriander powder, cumin powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, sugar, lemon
  7. Add water

Cooker is best for this, can also do in pan
