Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper or red pepper flakes
  • 1 1/2 pounds tilapia fillets
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 425 F.
  2. Mix melted butter, lemon juice, garlic, thyme, paprika, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pat the tilapia dry and season it with kosher salt.
  4. Arrange the fish in a 9x13-inch baking dish, overlapping slightly if needed.
  5. Spoon the garlic butter mixture evenly over the tilapia.
  6. Bake until the fish is opaque, cooked through, and flakes easily, about 18 to 20 minutes.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve with the pan sauce and lemon wedges.
