Ingredients
- 1 cup rice
- 1 cup dal, typically toor dal or moong dal
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 3 teaspoons salt, plus more to taste
- Achaar, for serving
- Ghee, for serving
Method
- Wash the rice and dal thoroughly.
- Add the rice and dal to the Instant Pot with 4 cups of water.
- Stir in turmeric and salt.
- Pressure cook for 5 minutes.
- Let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes.
- Taste and adjust salt if needed.
- Serve with achaar and ghee.
